The first LSW show has been announced

Larissa Bovetti is bringing a live show every Friday to Fairview, TN at a pizza cafe called Snappy's. Tracy Baker, who has brought years of blues picking experience to bear, accompanies Larissa and you can watch live on LocalSongwriters.

About Larissa:

True performer meets strong songwriter: often a combination that takes decades to perfect, years of life experience to finally put a song together and a story for people to understand. This California native continues to build on the strong foundation that is her striking voice. Honest, genuine, pure and unique, these are the attributes every songwriter and singer wishes to convey. Songs that come from the heart.

Real life experiences are what Bovetti writes her music about. "Kiss Me is a song I wrote about myself expressing my feelings for someone. It's very honest." In an invitation sent out by one of Bovetti's fans, they had this to say, "She has this song, I think it's called Kiss Me, that I just wait for. She sings that song and you feel like you're the only one in the room with her..." A song that everyone understands.

Growing up in the Bovetti Family had its unique advantages. With a father who worked in the Foreign Service, Larissa was introduced to many different cultures and a love for music. With her family listening to musical legends like Emmy Lou Harris, Loretta Lynn, Joan Baez and Dolly Parton, there were no limitations on what she could do with music. At the ripe old age of 12 Larissa started writing and playing music, learning to play the piano and guitar. Her family was thrilled with her talents and encouraged her to pursue them.

After graduation with a fellowship in Music Composition from UC-Santa Barbara and showcasing in L.A. and San Francisco, Larissa decided it was time to try her hand at Nashville's music scene. Meeting fellow songwriters and honing her craft has been a wonderful experience for this Californian. Playing throughout the music city, including the legendary Bluebird Cafe, this songbird is here to stay.

What makes Larissa Bovetti different? It is her stylistic blend of folk and country, but even more than that, "her music is uplifting and often expresses vulnerability that... is a hallmark of fine work" says fellow musician, Paul Cuneo.

About Tracy:

My name is Tracy Baker, a guitar picker from California. I have traveled many back roads through rough terrain and weather, only to lead me here, to Nashville,TN. At age 16, I was a young blues guitarist thinking of a way to escape into the realm of music. While most kids that age were playing baseball and football, I was playing the bars throughout the week and on sundays. Of course I had to leave immediately after the gigs, but the passion I had for performing was indescribable.

I often tinkered with musical inventions like making a talk box from a thermos. Or, breaking wine bottles and crafting the perfect slide. I left the golden state at 19, and haven’t been back since. Since then I have lived in 5 different states not to include Tenn. I’m not from here, But I got here as fast as I could.

I still love to play the blues, but have moved on to more of a Alt Country/Rock/Rockabilly type format. I write all types of songs and sing and play various styles. I have a dilemma of finding my one breakthrough sound that may change the way music is heading. If I find it, I could be the next big thing, if I don’t, I’ll just be that ol’ guy who drags his guitar around from gig to gig. Regardless, I’ll still be a rockin’ cat!

I've viewed Mr. Baker's performance's in the past and it would be an understatement to characterize his skill levels as good. Refined, Polished, Artistic and Creative are more accurate. A very technical guitar player who performs with the precision of a surgeon. Highly reccomended.
